Metaphors for Autumn: Pruning, releasing, letting go, balancing, contraction, discernment, self-regulation, making space, inner listening, remembering your core. — Way of Joy

This week I have been super excited to be working on my First Ever Free preview call, From Stress to Surge: Tips to Get over it and Get on with it as well as on an upcoming webinar on Way of Joy qigong.

However, I have to acknowledge that as I work, I’m experiencing huge amounts of… errr… discomfort. I think this is partly because my learning curve using new kinds of technology is so steep. But I think an even bigger piece is that I have to let go of some of my old (read, outdated) ways of doing things.

As I bring focus to refreshing my work to make it ever more accessible, I’m learning to become comfortable with (what seems to be a constant state of) being  uncomfortable. Albert Einstein once said, “You can’t solve a problem with the same kind of thinking that created it,” so I’m down for the change. At the same time, I do need have to keep remembering to Let Go to get there. Remembering the themes for autumn as well as this Taoist story (and qigong practice) helps.
